PartyPoker is making the leap into the live UK poker realm via a new partnership deal with Dusk Till Dawn. The internet gaming operator, owned by bwin.party, will receive widespread branding throughout one of England’s most prominent live card rooms. In exchange, DTD will likewise make a new transition to online poker by receiving a dedicated DTD tab in the PartyPoker lobby.
According to a report from Gaming Intelligence, the multi-year branding contract is expected to take effect sometime later this month. At that time, UK online poker players will be able to participate in Dusk Till Dawn online satellites and tournaments by logging into PartyPoker and clicking the DTD tab.
Golan Shaked is the Director of Games for bwin.party, and his outlook on the new partnership was a wholly positive one. “We are looking forward to working with the DTD team who have built a hugely successful live poker experience. Using their intricate knowledge of the UK poker scene gives us a fantastic opportunity to reinvigorate the Partypoker brand and attract a new generation of players.” |

Rob Yong, the owner of Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, expressed analogous sentiments towards the new deal. Much like PartyPoker is hoping to draw primarily live poker players into the online poker realm, Yong believes DTD will generate a new customer base of primarily internet poker players.
“I am very excited about this agreement,” extolled Yong. “Over the last seven years, with the support from our loyal members and the UK poker community, DTD has grown into the leading live poker brand in the UK.
“Partypoker is one of the best known online poker rooms in the world and are fully committed to the UK market,” explained DTD’s owner. “Sharing our ideology of working with the UK poker community to provide a level playing field and a healthy long-term poker ecology, this presents a massive opportunity to re-energise the UK poker scene.”
What would a new multi-year contract that combines the top live and online poker destination in the UK be without the promise of big promotional events along the way? PartyPoker didn’t reveal any specific details on the matter, but did say that there are already plans in the works to celebrate the partnership with a series of distinctive live and online poker events across the UK.
This isn’t the first time Dusk Till Dawn has ventured into the online poker scene. Powered by Playtech, DuskTillDawnPoker.com has been operating under a license from Alderney, and has previously partnered with other major UK online poker operators. This month, in fact, Dusk Till Dawn will host the SkyPoker 2015 UK Poker Championships (February 13 to March 1), where starting flights for certain events are slated to take place at the DTD online poker room.
It’s uncertain whether the live UK poker club intends to maintain its Playtech-based online venue or not, but considering the level of success DTD has experienced on that website already, unless PartyPoker and SkyPoker choose to butt heads over the issue, there’s no reason DTD can’t enjoy a lucrative relationship with both online poker operators from separate sides of the virtual fence.
