Top UK Poker Rooms Hosting Lucrative Tournaments in July

July is here, and for many poker players, that means booking a room in Las Vegas to participate in the final stages of the World Series of Poker. But Nevada, USA isn’t the only place to find big action on the felt this month. In fact, UK poker rooms are promoting huge tournaments all month long.

All across England, Ireland and Scotland, UK poker rooms will be teeming with action nearly every day before July is out. The festivities begin tonight with a Charity Poker Event at Grosvenor G Casino in Thanet, followed by one of the most anticipated events of the season, The Deepstack at Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) in Nottingham.

DTD is one of the top UK poker rooms for tournament action, where The Deepstack is expected to draw upwards of a thousand players to the tables to take part in £300+ £30, £300k GTD Main Event. The £1,000+ £100 High Roller guarantees £60k and 4x WPT seats worth £2,200 a piece. Both start on Day 1 of the Deepstack Festival at DTD, running from July 2-5.

The Genting Club in Edinburgh, Scotland is another hot spot for poker enthusiasts this month, where the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT)—the UK’s first national poker tour dating back to 2006—will host its £75+£7.50 Amateur Poker Championship on July 4. From there, four UK poker rooms will host major festivals across England.

The Genting Poker Series (GPS) heads to Luton from July 15-19, with the £200+£20 GPS Luton Main Event promising £30,000. Next, poker players can travel to London to participate in the PokerStars Summer Classic at the Hippodrome from July 24-26.

Then it’s off to Leeds for the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, where the £500+£50 GUKPT Main Event Leeds guarantees £100k from July 26 to August 2. If that doesn’t suit your fancy, stick around London for a while as Aspers Casino prepares to host the World Poker Tour National London from July 30 to August 2.

These are just the top tournament festivals set to take place this month at UK poker rooms. In between, players can find action at Grosvenor Casinos throughout the land, including Reading, Swansea, Liverpool, Southend and Glasgow, with other enticing events spotting the map along the way.
