When you use Mastercard for poker room deposits in the UK, most of the larger card playing websites allow for payments using their credit card and debit card. This includes the mainline Mastercard credit cards and the various debit options, including Maestro and Switch. If a card declines, the poker site is usually not the one refusing your transaction. Instead, it would be Mastercard itself. One or two of the big card rooms do not make payments to players using Mastercard. Once again, I assume this is a decision on the part of the credit card company, not the poker website itself.
Best MasterCard Deposits
Though Mastercard and VISA are allowed at most legitimate gambling operations on the Internet, I’ve found that Mastercard tends to be accepted at a slightly smaller percentage of sites than VISA. Holders of Mastercard credit cards should look at this as a good thing, since that means Mastercard only allows transactions with those poker rooms which they believe are trustworthy. Below is a list of UK poker sites and whether they accept Mastercard payments. I’ve included cashout information, so you have total information for making your money transaction decisions.
888 Poker Mastercard Payments
If you’re going to play at 888poker, everyone with a Mastercard will be able to make payments with their credit card. Mastercard users outside of the United Kingdom will not be able to use Mastercard for withdrawals. Apparently, only Mastercards issued in the UK can make cashouts, because they can use the BACS method for the transaction. “BACS” stood for “Bankers Automated Clearing Service” and now stands for “Bacs Payment Scheme Limited”. These payments take three days. The payment is entered on the 1st day, processed on the 2nd day, and (if everything goes well) clears on the 3rd day.
Ladbrokes Poker Mastercard
If you want to make a deposit using Mastercard at Ladbrokes Poker, the transaction is instant. The minimum deposit is £5, though no fees apply. The same £5 limit goes for Ladbrokes withdrawals, though it takes 3 to 5 days before this transaction is complete.
Titan Poker Mastercard Deposits
Titan Poker accepts Mastercard, Switch, and Maestro deposits. Titan Poker mentions on their official website that they accept Mastercard, but some credit card companies don’t make payments to online poker rooms. When they do, these credit card companies sometimes limit the size of the payments they’ll make. This isn’t to say Mastercard will decline your payments to TitanPoker–Titan’s staff says the same thing about VISA payments. But if you try to use your Mastercard on Titan Poker and the card won’t work, it’s not because Titan Poker has changed its policies or the information in this article is incorrect, but because Mastercard itself has declined to fund your poker account. If the names “Fastengine 1-888-400-7839”, “Fastengine 1-866-715-7330”, or “LPS – Aquapay London” appear on your Mastercard statement, you’ll know these are payments made to Titan Poker.
Along with Mastercard credit payments, you should be able to use Maestro debit or Switch debit card deposits, too. Ten years ago (2002), Mastercard decided to merge the UK-based Switch cards with their international Maestro debit card brand. Since then, Mastercard has tried to migrate Switch users over to Maestro, though transactions in the UK still show “Switch” on many transactions and UK vendors who claim they accept Maestro might only accept Switch cards. Both cards are listed on the Titan Poker website, so both should work.
PokerStars Mastercard – Fast Deposit
Pokerstars caters to players who uses Mastercard credit cards. With the new “Fast Deposit” method of funding your account, you can add money to your Pokerstars account while sitting at the virtual poker table and playing a hand. The fast service option is available to gamblers who use Mastercard, VISA, or NETELLER.
Poker770 Mastercard Cards
Mastercard is one of several credit cards allowed on Poker770. If you have an Entropay Mastercard, this card should work for funding your poker room account. Mastercard is a preferred option, while Entropay is also an option allowed by Poker 770. Entropay issues traditional Mastercard debit cards, so I suspect one of those cards would be allowed on Poker770. Readers should contact the owners of this website if they have an update, correction, or clarification. No mention is made at the Poker770 deposits page of the Maestro card, which is the official Mastercard debit card.
Party Poker Mastercard
Party poker allows for the use of Mastercard credit cards and Maestro debit cards when making payments and asking for cashouts. Deposits are instant, while withdrawals take several days to complete. No fees apply and I have no indication that a minimum or maximum limit is imposed. As for Maestro debit transactions, your card needs to have a three-digit CVV2 security number in order to be usable at PartyPoker.
Everest Poker Mastercard Deposit Methods
Everest Poker allows Mastercard and Maestro payments. The minimum deposit is $5.00. Payments are instant and no fees are charged by EverestPoker for the transaction. The only other credit card allowed on Everest Poker is VISA. Credit cards and debit cards cannot be used for cashouts. If you use a Mastercard to make a deposit on Everest Poker and you need to make a withdrawal, you’ll have to find another method for cashing out. The withdrawal methods allowed by Everest Poker include check, Moneybookers (Skrill), NETELLER, Click2Pay, and Visa.
William Hill Poker and Mastercard
William Hill Poker allows Mastercard credit cards for deposits and withdrawals, though you need a UK-issued Mastercard to make a cashout. The minimum withdrawal amount is £5 and the maximum withdrawal amount is £10,000 per day. No fees or limits appear for deposits. All deposits are instant, though cashouts require (on average) 3-5 days for the money to appear in your bank account. Players’ currency options include the UK pound, Canadian dollar, American dollar, Danish krone, Swedish krona, and Euro. The Maestro debit card also works at William Hill Poker. If you use the Maestro card, your cashout limit mushrooms to £250,000 per day.
